The Women’s / Trans’ Poetry Jam & Open Mike the has showcased the famous, the infamous and the unknown for over a decade.  This month’s jam features Amy Barone and Rex Leonowicz.  Hosted by Vittoria Repetto (pictured right) – the hardest working guinea butch dyke poet on the Lower East Side!  Come out and deliver (up to) 8 minutes of your poetry, prose, songs and spoken word. Visit vittoriarepetto.wordpress.com for more.

Amy Barone’s poetry is inspired by five years of living in Italy, growing up outside Philadelphia in the 70′s, and family conflict. Rex Leonowicz’s explores writing and creative expression as a means of resistance.
