Sick Cell appears as part of PUSSY FAGGOT! 2-Year Anniversary in NYC on Thursday, April 7 at The Delancey.
In the early part of 2010 singer and multi-instrumentalist Angelo Tursi wrote and recorded a dozen songs in his studio in Williamsburg. His inspiration came from the post-punk and new wave bands he grew up listening to like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, the Cure, and Depeche Mode as well as from the new breed of bands that have been popping up in Brooklyn that have also been inspired by these older groups. In the past year the band’s sound has morphed into something that is hard to categorize, something that is familiar… yet different. When the time came to play live he asked friends Eric White and Shane LaRue to play drums and synth. The music is sexy, dark, and moody and will definitely take you on a roller coaster ride through the night.
