JEFFREY OWEN RALSTON

Jeffrey Owen Ralston presents an installation as part of PUSSY FAGGOT! at The Delancey on Thursday, October 27.

JEFFREY OWEN RALSTON was born in Atlanta, GA in 1976 and currently resides in New York City. He received his BFA from Pratt Institute in 1999.  Today,  Jeffrey makes large scale sculptural environments fabricated by re-purposed hardware materials such as plastic trash bags, LED lights, and tape. His work commonly examines the emotions associated with the divisions of private and public spaces, and often brings to the surface a graphic pop element referring to current affairs.  Most recently, Jeffrey created a piece titled “Jail” for Spank Art Zine, and has exhibited at P.S.1 MoMa and Benjamin Krause Gallery in New York City.  His work continues to illuminate the NYC nightlife scene under the nickname “Deputy”, and is scheduled to make it’s first appearance in Europe, Fall 2011.
